‘Holiday Bandit’ to be held without bail

A federal judge Wednesday ordered the suspected bank robber known as the “Holiday Bandit” to be held without bail pending trial.

Marat Mikhaylich, who after being busted by the FBI and NYPD was treated for his heroin addiction problem, was arraigned in Brooklyn federal court before Magistrate Judge Marilyn Go.

Law enforcement authorities believe that Mikhaylich, 35, who was born in Ukraine, was behind a series of holiday season bank stick-ups in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island, as well as two in New Jersey.
