PSAL softball roundup: Lopez no-hits PR in Tottenville victory

Cheryl Lopez tossed a four-inning no-hitter, striking out six and Jill Regan went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs and three runs scored to lead Tottenville to a 15-0, run-rule win over Port Richmond in four innings.

Victoria McFarland, Samantha Mattsson and Krista Casale all drove in two runs apiece for Tottenville (3-0). Port Richmond is 3-1.

Susan Wagner 14, Curtis 0: Danielle Locke went 2-for-3 with five RBIs and a run scored and Jen Greenberg and Julliana Rossetti each drove in two runs for Wagner (3-0 Staten Island A). Taylor Sarcone gave up two hits and struck out four in four innings. Curtis is 0-2.

Construction 25, Franklin K. Lane 1: Ashley Burke went 2-for-2 with five RBIs and three runs scored and Kailan Luciano went 3-for-3 with four RBIs and three runs for Construction (4-0 Queens A-II). Britney Rodriguez gave up one run, none earned, on two hits and struck out 10 in four innings. Lane is 0-3.

McKee/Staten Island Tech 12, Petrides 1: Amanda Mondello went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored and Sophia Palumbo went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run to lead MSIT (2-1 Staten Island A). Blayse Halvorsen gave up one run on two hits and struck out four in six innings. Petrides is 1-3.

PSAL CLASS B

Telecom 15, Grady 5: Sydney Resto went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and three runs scored and Christina Morales and Stephanie Aviles each had two RBIs apiece for Telecom (4-0 Brooklyn B-I). Grady is 3-1.

Lafayette 20, Sheepshead Bay 6: Carmen Rodriguez went 4-for-5 with an RBI and four runs scored and Luisa Penagos went 3-for-3 with three runs to lead Lafayette (3-1 Brooklyn B-1). Sheepshead is 0-4.

John F. Kennedy 23, Columbus 9: Chelsea Custodio went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored and pitched two no-hit innings, striking out four, to lead Kennedy (4-1 Bronx B-II). Columbus is 1-4.

FDR 22, Canarsie 2: Giovana Rosado went 3-for-4 with a home run, eight RBIs and four runs scored and Jacqueline Bianco went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored for FDR (1-3 Brooklyn B-I). Canarsie is 1-3.
