Obama’s golf pal arrested for soliciting prostitute

A close buddy of President Obama has been busted in Hawaii for allegedly soliciting a hooker — who turned out to be an undercover cop.

Longtime presidential pal Bobby Titcomb, 49, was nabbed at 9:40 p.m. Monday in downtown Honolulu in “a reverse prostitution operation by Honolulu police,” cops said in a statement last night.

Titcomb, a childhood friend of Obama, was one of four men arrested that night in the sting by cops, who lured would-be johns by setting up a phony escort Internet site, KITV.com reported.

Ironically, Titcomb’s Web-surfing-for-sex wipeout occurred right next to the city’s Circuit Court building.

He was released at 11 p.m. the same night after posting $500 bail for the crime, which is considered a misdemeanor.

It was at least the second arrest for Obama’s buddy, who has worked as a commercial fisherman and for an airline.

State criminal records show that Titcomb was busted in 1987 on drunken-driving charges, for which he received a 90-day suspension of his license and a $150 fine.

Titcomb’s latest arrest occurred about a 45-minute drive from his home in Waialua, a community on the North Shore of Oahu.

Titcomb and that beachside home regularly play host to Obama, his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters, Sasha and Malia.

Several months ago, during his Christmas vacation, Obama spent the day at Titcomb’s home, where his pal throws an annual luau for the First Family.

Titcomb was part of a group that golfed with the president over the holiday.

Obama, also 49, spent much of his youth in Hawaii, and his half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, still lives in the Aloha State.

He and Titcomb attended Punahou School HS together, although they were a year apart.

When Obama turned 49 last August, he played golf at Andrews Air Force base outside Washington with Titcomb and other friends from Hawaii and Chicago.

The White House had no comment on Titcomb’s arrest. Titcomb could not be reached for comment by The Post.

Titcomb is due in court to face the prostitution charge May 2.
