Cops probing knife-wielding manic in 2 stab attacks in Queens

Police are investigating whether one knife-wielding maniac is responsible for stabbing two women in random attacks in Queens, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Wednesday.

The terrifying and unprovoked stabbing of a Woodhaven teen in front of her home on Monday may be linked to another unprovoked knife attack on a woman who was nearly killed last month, a police source said.

“We’re trying to see if there’s a pattern,” the source said. “Both appeared to be unprovoked and there’s no motive or reason to think there was any contact between the victim and the assailant in this assault.”

Kerline Denizard, 36, was stabbed seven times on 221st Street, right after leaving her home for work around 4:55 a.m., June 25, cops said.

She was ambushed by a stranger in a black hoodie who plunged a knife into her throat repeatedly, sources added.

Denizard was rushed to Long Island Jewish North Shore Hospital in critical but stable condition.

On Monday, Natasha Martinez, 17, was stabbed on 85th Street in Woodhaven when a man jumped her from behind and plunged a knife into her back and chest at least 10 times, cops said.

The teen was returning home from a shift at a nearby McDonald’s when she was attacked mere steps from her apartment building, her mom told the Post. The girl is in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital.

Cops said the attacker approached the teen and stabbed her repeatedly without saying a word.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect in Monday’s attack yesterday.
