Chelsea hotel evac in fire

A posh Chelsea hotel had to be evacuated yesterday afternoon due to an electrical fire, FDNY officials said.

The blaze at The Standard, at Washington and West 13th streets, began in a basement electrical panel at 2:30 p.m.

The smoke rose to the ground level, forcing the evacuation.

Firefighters were able to put out the blaze by 4 p.m. There were no injuries.
