Kid stuff

Today

Grrl power: Nine-year-old Ana has to choose between life as a superhero or as an average kid in “Barrio Grrrl!: A New Musical,” written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Quiara Alegria Hudes, with tunes from Tony Award winner Bill Sherman. 2 p.m., $15 to $25. NYU’s Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, 566 La Guardia Place at Washington Square; 212-352-3101.

Bunny hop: With more than 20,000 Easter eggs hidden throughout Carl Schurz Park, no kid should go home empty-handed from this Easter-themed concert and egg hunt. Besides live tunes like “Little Bunny Foo-Foo” and “Hop, Hop, Hop,” there will be face painting, bag decorating and more. 1 p.m., free. 86th Street and East End Avenue; moeysmusicparty.com.

Let it rain: Billed as a “rock opera” for kids, TADA! Youth Theater’s “Odd Day Rain” is the futuristic tale of a world ruled mostly by technology (sounds contemporary to us). 2 and 4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays through May 22, $8 to $25. 15 W. 28th St., between Broadway and Fifth Avenue; 212-252-1619, ext. 128.

Tomorrow

Move it: Now that you’ve finally managed to get that “I like to move it, move it” song out of your head, “Madagascar Live!” is here. See Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, King Julien and the rest re-enact the hit movie at Radio City Music Hall. Through April 24; days and times vary, $29 to $145. 1260 Sixth Ave., at 50th Street; 866-855-0008.

Still to come

Spring fling: No plans for spring break? No worries — the Brooklyn Children’s Museum is extending its hours and offering extra “Celebrate Earth!” programming on everything from sea creatures and composting to pollination and pollution. 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through April 26, $7.50 per person. 145 Brooklyn Ave., at St. Mark’s Avenue; 718-735-4400.
