Charlie Sheen slammed for ‘false’ claim about returning to ‘Two and a Half Men’

LOS ANGELES — Warner Bros. fired a letter off to Charlie Sheen’s lawyer Thursday, putting the kibosh on the star’s claim he will return to “Two and a Half Men” after his infamous ouster from the show and erratic media blitz.

While traveling the US with his “My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option Show,” Sheen has discussed the scandal that got him booted from the comedy and his possible return to the hit TV series.

The actor said there was an “85 percent” chance he would be returning to “Men,” during a radio interview in Boston Wednesday.

“Oh yeah, there’s been discussions,” he added in the interview on 98.5 “The Sports Hub.”

But Sheen got slapped by Warner Bros. for the “false” statement and the production company made clear Sheen would not be returning to the show, in a letter obtained by TMZ.

“I am writing in response to recently reported statements attributed to your client Charlie Sheen that he is ‘in discussions’ about returning to the series ‘Two and a Half Men,'” a Warner Bros. lawyer wrote to Sheen’s legal rep, Marty Singer.

“Those statements are false. As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement with the series,” the letter concluded.

But Sheen’s lawyer maintained discussions definitely were taking place.

“There have been discussions as late as Tuesday, and all parties have been involved — Warner Bros., CBS, Chuck Lorre [the show’s creator] and Charlie Sheen,” Singer told TMZ.

“Charlie did not lie about the discussions. There WERE discussions,” Singer added.

Meanwhile, Sheen is taking his show up north to Canada on Thursday and Friday and will then hit Atlantic City, N.J. Saturday.
