Trump’s W. House ballroom

Donald Trump, who’s hinted at running for president, wants to become the White House architect-in-chief.

The Donald offered to build an opulent, $100 million grand ballroom at the White House after complaining that the president’s staff erects shabby tents on the lawn to entertain foreign dignitaries — a situation he described as a national embarrassment.

Trump said he discussed his proposal with David Axelrod, one of President Obama’s chief advisers.

“I called up the White House about a year ago. And I saw that they were having lots of functions for people like the President of China . . . And I said, ‘Every time I see a function, you put an old broken canvas tent up,’ ” Trump told ABC News.

“I said, ‘I will build you, free of charge, one of the great ballrooms of the world. It’ll cost maybe $100 million.”
