Jean therapy

Hipster guys, take note: Eliza Doolittle — the UK’s newest pop import — really doesn’t like your skinny jeans.

“I’m just not into the so-tight-your-[package]-can’t-breathe-look!” says the cheeky brown-eyed Brit, whose self-titled debut album hits this side of the pond Tuesday. One of its 13 infectious songs, “Skinny Genes,” is an ode to her distaste for guys in tight pants. (“So take them off for me,” she sings naughtily.)

“I just like a guy to look like he hasn’t tried too hard,” says Doolittle, whose real name is Eliza Caird. (The “My Fair Lady”-inspired nickname came from her cousin and grade-school drama teacher.) “Though, I do like it when a guy has individuality.”

The eccentric Nike fanatic (she owns about 40 pairs) is an individual herself who likes to mix vintage items with high-street pieces — preppy schoolgirl skirts with high socks and crop tops — and uses expressions such as “Umdeedum,” “Looboobeeloo” and “Loverlee.”

She’s got a sweet, childlike giddiness for anything — from the bands she’s playing among at this weekend’s Coachella Festival in Palm Springs (“I remember seeing the lineup and being like, ‘Wowo, wowo, wowo, wowo’”) to the HBO series “Eastbound and Down” (“It’s terrible, but amazing!”) and her favorite resto in the Meatpacking District, The Diner (“They do the best grilled cheese sandwiches ever!”).

The 23-year-old’s bubbly personality also pops through in her songs: The throwback doo-wop sample in “Missing,” the folky, Jack Johnson-esque guitar plucks in “Mr. Medicine” and the use of horns in “Pack Up,” which will likely strike a chord with fans of UK contemporaries Kate Nash and Lily Allen.

But if you’re going to compare her to anyone (and really, she’d prefer you don’t), she favors Carrie Bradshaw.

“I like her bouncing-around-her-bedroom looks more than her dressed-up looks,” Doolittle says. “I love it whenever she shows her bra. It’s not necessarily what she wears, but how she wears it.”

The Topshop-loving songwriter counts designers such as Mark Fast and Marc Jacobs as favorites, and is currently the face of Moschino’s “Cheap and Chic” line.

Here, she rocks this season’s varied denim looks — including one hot pair of skinny jeans. Worn comfortably, of course.
