Lindsay Lohan to work as a janitor at LA morgue

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan isn’t dying to get her latest assignment.

The former “Mean Girls” actress will soon star as a janitor at the Los Angeles County coroner’s office after a judge ruled last Friday to sentence her to 120 hours at the county morgue as part of a probation violation sentence for an alleged jewelry theft, it was reported today.

Judge Stephanie Sautner sentenced the 24-year-old actress to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service, including 360 hours at the downtown Women’s Center and 120 hours at the Mission Road coroner’s office.

The judge ruled that Lohan violated the terms of her 2007 probation for drunk driving by wearing a gold chain as she left a Venice jewelry store on Jan. 22 and failed to return it.

While Lohan is appealing the ruling, the judge said she must start the community service hours within a week.

“We have community service workers all the time,” Assistant Chief Ed Winter of the coroner’s office told The Los Angeles Times. “They do janitorial tasks. They clean up and sweep up.”

Lohan made bail on Friday within five hours of getting the 120-day jail term.

Lohan will be picking up trash, emptying trash bins, mopping floors and cleaning windows and bathrooms.

Her troubles don’t end there.

Lohan still faces a June 3 trial in her grand theft charge, which has since been reduced to a misdemeanor, and faces a maximum penalty of an additional year behind bars.
