It looks like those “Jersey Shore” kids just couldn’t make it work.
And they were so much in love, too.
Series stars Ronnie Ortiz and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola are apparently splitsville, just as the “Jersey Shore” crew heads to Florence, Italy for Season 4.
“They’re completely over,” a source told fox411.com during a bon voyage party for Giancola last week. “Sammi was having a fantastic time . . . and Ronnie was nowhere in sight.
“Two guys from the San Diego Chargers were totally flirting with [Sammi] and she was definitely enjoying the attention.”
The on-and-off-again couple have been battling and canoodling since Season 1.
At the end of last season, their relationship was in limbo after a series of fights in which Ronnie destroyed Sammi’s bedroom — and she slugged Ronnie in the jaw.
“Jersey Shore” is the highest-rated show in MTV history, pulling in as many as 9 million viewers a week.
Season 4 is expected to air later this year.
