NYPD Daily Blotter

Manhattan

This suspected thief (pictured) made off with hundreds of dollars after he passed a note to a teller in an East Village bank, police sources said yesterday.

He slid the piece of paper to the female teller in the Chase branch on Second Avenue and East Ninth Street at about 9:15 a.m. Friday.

The note read, “I have a gun. Give me all your money and return the slip to me with the money.”

The teller alerted her manager, who instructed her to hand over some money. She gave the crook $776, and he escaped with the loot.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his 20s, about 5-7 with a medium build. He wore a black waist-length jacket.

A man was arrested after his elderly former girlfriend walked into an East Flatbush station house and accused him of rape.

The victim, who is in her 70s, entered the 67th Precinct station house on April 6 and told cops that her ex-boyfriend, Christopher Skeritt, 63, had attacked her and forcibly had sex with her between August and October last year, according to a police source.

Skeritt was arrested Saturday and charged with rape, the source said.

Staten Island

A drunken driver led cops on a wild, high-speed chase — followed by a foot pursuit — after they tried to pull him over for speeding in Elm Park, authorities said.

Nicky Fleming, 27, pulled out of the parking lot of a bar on Forest Avenue near Jewett Avenue at about 4 a.m. Saturday and allegedly raced down Forrest Avenue in his late-model Nissan Maxima — straight past cops.

The cops followed him with their lights flashing and sirens wailing, but he refused to stop, weaving through traffic, speeding the wrong way down one-way streets, and blowing through red lights and stop signs while driving in excess of 100 mph, according to court papers.

When he finally did stop, he bailed out of the vehicle, jumped a fence and hid in a yard, the papers claim.

After a brief struggle, he was arrested for reckless endangerment, reckless driving and resisting arrest, said a spokesman for DA Dan Donovan.

Bronx

A cop sustained minor injuries last night after being shot by a pellet gun in Soundview.

The NYPD sergeant was on Randall Avenue near Rosedale Avenue attempting to serve a narcotics warrant when he was grazed by a pellet, believed fired from across the street.

He was treated at Jacobi Hospital for minor injuries.

Two knife-wielding thugs stabbed a garage worker during a botched robbery at a Mott Haven facility, police sources said yesterday.

The unidentified men forced open an office door at the 50-51 Parking Corp. on East 143rd Street near Morris Avenue on Sunday, barged inside and demanded money from the 58-year-old male worker.

The frightened employee refused to turn over cash, so the assailants stabbed him in the torso with a kitchen knife. The suspects fled empty-handed.

The victim was listed in stable condition at Lincoln Hospital.

Two burglars were caught red-handed after police found them cowering in a Bronxwood restaurant, police sources said yesterday.

Robert Rudaj, 37, and Shkelzen Murati, 28, allegedly broke into the restaurant on Boston Road near Williamsbridge Road at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday.

Officers responded to a 911 call and found the pair hiding in a bathroom. An ATM on the premises was broken open, and police recovered an ax from the roof.

Queens

Cops are hunting for this man (above) who is suspected of attempting to sexually assault two women.

He first struck in Springfield Gardens at 9:30 p.m. March 26, when he threw a 20-year-old woman to the ground and attempted to assault her.

He then attacked a 24-year-old woman at 1:50 a.m. April 22 on 135th Avenue near 220th Street in Laurelton.

Both times, the women screamed and the would-be rapist fled.
