‘Aisle pass’ for fleeing UK couple

They got out of dodgy!

Rather than get swept into the royal-wedding mayhem, this London couple escaped to New York for a little peace and tranquility.

“We wanted to get out of the hustle and bustle of the wedding,” Steph Aukstikalnis said of the trip to the Big Apple with boyfriend Brendan Coster, a trader.

“We are sick of hearing about it. We’ve had months of buildup, so I feel like I’ve lived through it already,” she wailed.

Aukstikalnis, 26, boldly said she’d rather check out Derek Jeter than Prince William.

“We’re looking forward to seeing a Yankees game and eating hot dogs,” she said. “We want to walk through Central Park and do the High Line. And lots of shopping.”

London had just become unbearable, they complained — sounding similar to rube-bashing Big Apple dwellers.

“There is an influx of tourists coming into the city — it’s a perfect time to get out,” she said. “I can understand why some people are excited. It’s just not something that excites me.”

And the traffic promises to be worse than Midtown gridlock during the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

“It’d be a hassle to be there right now with all the roadblocks. It is so difficult to get around,” Coster said.

Since today is a national holiday in Britain and Monday is a bank holiday, she and Coster were able to turn three vacation days into a weeklong adventure.

They ducked out of their London apartment Tuesday and are staying at a friend’s place in NoLIta through Monday.

“It was a race to get those three days off,” she said of her job as a publicist.

Originally from Australia, the pair has lived in London for five years.

“I’m sick of hearing about the wedding — every night coming home from work there is a different story on TV,” said Coster.

“The royal family is a good scam. They get paid millions of pounds and they do nothing — it’s the biggest con,” he added.

Despite missing out on William’s and Kate’s big day, the couple said they have no doubt they’ll eventually watch the royals tie the knot.

“We’ll catch it on TV for the next month,” Aukstikalnis said.
