Judge’s daughter dies in OD

The 22-year-old daughter of a prominent Brooklyn judge who became a rising star in city politics — and served as a top aide to Councilman Stephen Levin — was found dead in her Boerum Hill apartment yesterday.

Hope Reichbach was discovered at around 2:30 p.m. by a pal in the Schermerhorn Street apartment where she lived alone, police said. The Brooklyn Paper reported she died of an overdose of prescription drugs. An autopsy was expected today.

“Hope was a wonderful, vivacious and tough young woman, a beautiful soul who cared deeply about her community and her family,” Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Levin said in a joint statement.

The daughter of Judge Gustin Reichbach, she mounted a strong challenge last fall to Jo Anne Simon in the race for district leader.
