Bloomberg voices worry about new royal couple’s privacy

Mayor Bloomberg, who jealously guards his private life, said today that he hopes England’s new royal couple won’t be forever hounded by their adoring public.

“In some sense, I feel sorry for them, although that’s their job and that sort of thing,” said the mayor on his weekly WOR Radio show.

“They should let ’em alone and have as much a normal life as you can (considering) what their jobs are.”

Although Bloomberg indicated earlier in the week that he had no intention of watching the much-anticipated wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, he conceded today that he caught a few glimpses “as I walked by the television.”

“They seem like nice people,” judged the mayor.
