LONDON — A verger at Westminster Abbey was spotted Friday doing cartwheels down the aisle following the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, suggesting he was delighted the ceremony went so smoothly.
The scene was captured by cameras after most guests had left.
A verger is a church official who acts as caretaker and attendant, and an Abbey spokesman said the cartwheeler was a lay verger.
