HS hoops star busted in robbery

A high-school basketball star may have slam-dunked his college hoop dreams after he was busted for a gunpoint robbery in The Bronx, sources told The Post.

Deonte Houston (pictured), who’s been courted by several Division I colleges after leading Wings Academy to the city semifinals, was charged with first-degree robbery after he and three pals allegedly stole an iPod from a 15-year-old boy.

The 17-year-old point guard and his cohorts rode their bikes into Pugsley Creek Park in Clason Point at 6 p.m. Sunday and allegedly circled the teen while one pointed a gun, police sources said. They allegedly snatched his $269 iPod Touch and pedaled off.

The 6-foot Houston was arrested Tuesday, but the others are still at large, police said.

The news had his coach and teammates concerned that he’s derailed his chances for a scholarship. “I’m shocked, that’s all I can say,” said head coach Billy Turnage.

Houston’s grandfather Wycliffe Rembert said he was “worried” about the potential damage the arrest could have on the youth’s college chances.

“He’s getting ready to graduate. We don’t need this kind of trouble,” said Rembert, 75.

Houston, who prosecutors said was picked out of a lineup by a witness, was released without bail by Judge Carol Feinman.
