‘Rapist’ left his DNA: DA

A sicko sexual predator who trolled the Lower East Side for teenage victims left his DNA — and a video image — at the scene of two attacks, prosecutors said yesterday.

Joseph Quirindongo, 20, was ordered held on $100,000 bail yesterday on charges of attempted rape, assault, burglary assault and a criminal sex act in connection with attacks in January 2010 and last month.

Both occurred at the LaGuardia Houses on Clinton Street, authorities said.

“The defendant left DNA on the scene and in both crimes the defendant was seen on video at the scene,” Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Alex Spiro said at the arraignment.

Quirindongo was arrested and identified by two witnesses Friday night, Spiro said.
