Moss may entice Jets

Mark Sanchez to Randy Moss?

Don’t rule it out.

An NFL source believes the Jets would have interest in the baggage-laden former Patriots wide receiver if the Jets do not sign Braylon Edwards once the lockout ends.

The Jets continue to believe that there is not any egg in Rex Ryan’s basket that would crack.

Though Moss clearly is in the twilight of his career and would be a considerable dropoff from Edwards in the run-blocking department, he would be a cheaper complement to Santonio Holmes and might enjoy playing for Ryan and with a developing quarterback in Sanchez.

Plaxico Burress would make sense as well once he is released from prison on June 6.

And remember: Moss would no longer have to worry about being stranded on Revis Island . . . except in practice.
