Martin Scorsese’s next movie reportedly will focus on the true-life turbulent romance of screen legends Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
Scenes will include their initial meeting while filming “Cleopatra” and their falling in love despite being married to other people, The Times of London said.
The film will be based on the 2010 book “Furious Love: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, and the Marriage of the Century,” by Sam Kashner, whose author was granted access to many of their love letters.
Taylor and Burton were married in 1964, divorced a decade later and remarried in 1975. Alas, they lasted only one year the second time around.
