NYers: You’ll never be Mayor ‘Crotch’

Those are the doors to the mayor’s office slamming in your face, Rep. Weiner.

Big Apple voters, responding to two major polls released yesterday, said they don’t want to see the kinky congressman’s name on the ballot in the 2013 mayoral race.

Fifty-six percent said the disgraced politician should sit the election out, according to a Marist poll, while only 25 percent want him to run.

Women and young voters, both important voting bases, were especially negative on Weiner — only 22 percent of women and 19 percent of people under 45 want him to run, according to Marist.

Another poll, conducted by SurveyUSA for WABC-TV, found 43 percent of New Yorkers have already decided to vote against Weiner if he does run.

Both polls surveyed 500 New York City residents, from all five boroughs, on Monday.

But Big Apple voters aren’t ready to ditch Weiner just yet.

Forty-six percent said he should leave Congress, while 41 percent want him to stay, the SurveyUSA results show.

Marist-polled voters were much easier on him — only 30 percent said he should step down, while 51 percent said he should stay and 18 percent were unsure.

Meanwhile, about 90 percent of readers at NYPost.com responded “yes” yesterday to the question: “Should Rep. Anthony Weiner resign?”
