Connecticut woman, boyfriend found dead inside apartment in apparent murder-suicide

WALLINGFORD, Conn. — A woman and her boyfriend have been found dead inside a Wallingford condominium in what police say appears to be a murder-suicide.

Police say it appears 63-year-old John Graves of Colchester shot 57-year-old Wendy Warzeniak multiple times after she let him into her apartment. They say he then apparently turned the gun on himself. Police say the two had been dating.

Their bodies were found just before 4 p.m. Wednesday at her home on Knollwood Drive by a property manager who had been asked to check on Warzeniak.

Police say they recovered the gun at the scene, as well as a note that was apparently written by Graves.

Neighbors told police they heard two people arguing and then three loud bangs.
