Voters stick up for their rep: poll

From Forest Hills to Sheepshead Bay, they’re standing by their man.

While Rep. Anthony Weiner remains disgraced in the eyes of the rest of the country, 56 percent of voters in his congressional district want him to stay in office.

Only 33 percent say he should quit, a New York 1-Marist poll found.

Even Republicans in his Queens-Brooklyn district want him to remain in Congress, by 47-45 percent.

The poll, conducted Wednesday, the day that a naked penis photo surfaced, found 73 percent said Weiner did “something unethical but not illegal.”
