Former porn star Ginger Lee says Weiner wanted her to lie about online messages

A former porn actress who claims to have received steamy emails and tweets from pervy Rep. Anthony Weiner said the lawmaker sent her messages where he discussed his “package” — even asking her to lie about their online communications.

During a news conference this afternoon at the Friars Club in Manhattan, Ginger Lee appeared with her lawyer Gloria Allred to dish dirt on Weiner.

“I did what he told me to do — I stayed in the house, avoided photographers and hoped the story would die down,” Lee said.

Lee said Weiner then asked her to lie about their online communications.

Weiner sent Lee an email earlier this month after the photo of his crotch was sent out on his Twitter account, and “he asked me to lie” about their contact, she said.

Once the scandal became public three weeks ago, Allred said someone Lee had never met wanted her to release a statement that was a lie.

Allred did not name who that person was or whether it was Weiner himself. She also did not elaborate on what that statement would have said.

Lee added that Weiner should resign — saying she “wants to go on with her life.”

“She stands ready to cooperate with that investigation if asked to do so,” Allred added, adding that Lee would help congressional ethics investigators should they choose to talk with her.

Weiner acknowledged last week that he had sent lewd photos and texts to women after a photo of his crotch was posted on Twitter.

Since then, TMZ.com published messages it said Weiner sent to Lee offering advice on how to mislead the press about their relationship, which began in March.

Lee, who did not take questions from reporters, said she and Weiner “communicated on a regular basis.”

Allred said there are about 100 emails between Weiner and Lee. The messages ended two weeks ago.

Lee said Weiner tried to make the messages sexual, but added that she never replied. She also said Weiner never sent her lewd pictures.

“My package and I are not going to beg,” Allred said, reading from a message Weiner sent to Lee.

“You’re not giving my package due credit, ” read another Weiner message to Lee, according to Allred.

In an interview two weeks ago, Weiner said that he had exchanged messages with Lee but didn’t elaborate.

Weiner has taken leave from the House and is said to be seeking treatment.

President Obama and House Democratic leaders have pressed him to quit, although Weiner has refused to resign.
