Ace place

He’s no longer captain of the New York Mets, but retired reliever John Franco still has a house fit for a king.

The legendary lefty’s Staten Island home, on Cliffwood Avenue in the Todt Hill area, is on the market for $4.95 million — down from Franco’s $8.3 million asking price in 2005. The 11,539-square-foot mansion, on just under 2 acres overlooking a golf course, offers eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and water views. Flourishes for fun-loving residents of all ages include an ice-cream parlor, indoor basketball court, DJ booth, pool, cabana and wine cellar.

Laird Klein of Vitale Sunshine is the broker.

An East End spy tells us that Franco recently saw a Hamptons house, developed by Farrell Building, in the $5 million range.

Ali n’ the family

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have found a downtown rental. It’s a three-bedroom at Riverhouse in Battery Park City. Their monthly rent hasn’t been disclosed, but available three-bedrooms in the building range from $8,700 to $15,000 per month.

The couple has been spotted out in the neighborhood with their daughters, Olive and Elula, taking advantage of the lovely weather and water views.

Sighting

Minka Kelly looked glamorous but stayed out of the spotlight while fiance Derek Jeter graciously spoke to fans during CC Sabathia’s Pitch in for the Kids charity event at the 30,000-square-foot mansion on the former Frick estate in Alpine, NJ. The 12-bedroom, 19-bathroom house, owned by developer Richard Kurtz, is on the market for $68 million.

We hear . . .

That there’s a cocktail party tonight, to benefit the American Cancer Society, at 180 E. 93rd St.’s four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 2,412-square-foot penthouse, complete with a private rooftop and four terraces. The unit is listed for $5.75 million.

Quiv off the land

Howard Stern sidekick Robin Quivers is a motivated seller when it comes to unloading her Staten Island hideaway.

She recently reduced the price of her English Tudor on Ocean Terrace to $1.95 million. The house, which she bought in 1999, was for a time her primary residence before she moved back to Manhattan a few years ago.

The home, built about 75 years ago and lovingly restored by Quivers, is 4,179 square feet with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, an antique limestone fireplace, cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, a heated pool and a sauna.

Louise Masucci of Connie Profaci Realty has the listing.

Fabolous rollin’ in Greene

Hip-hop star Fabolous has some pretty, well, fab taste when it comes to real estate.

The rapper recently checked out a $21.5 million penthouse at 95 Greene St. in SoHo. (The ultra-high price tag makes us wonder if Fabolous is just scouting locations for his next music video.) The 8,200-square-foot condo is the combination of three penthouses. It features an 85-foot-long living room with 36-foot ceilings and a custom-made glass staircase. There are 9-foot antique doors imported from Paris, Venetian plaster and a Philippe Starck-designed kitchen. Outside are five terraces adding up to more than 3,500 square feet of exterior space.

Ryan Serhant, Caroline Grane and Nick Jabbour at Nest Seekers have the listing.

Casta way

French model/actress Laetitia Casta, once the face of L’Oreal, Dior and Chanel, was spotted visiting a $3.995 million penthouse at the Chelsea Modern condo building at 447 W. 18th St. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom unit is 1,887 square feet and comes with a glass staircase that leads to a roof deck with Empire State Building and Hudson River views

It’s all in a 12-story building, designed by Audrey Matlock, with an eye-catching zigzag glass front. Artist Brian Farrell (whom you might have seen on “The Real Housewives of New York”) has been artist in residence there since March and will stay to the end of the summer. Fashion designer Christian Cota owns a unit in the building.
