Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin discuss whether congressman will resign

WASHINGTON – She’s baaack!

Rep. Anthony Weiner’s humiliated, pregnant wife, Huma Abedin, pulled up to their Washington home before dawn yesterday after a weeklong foreign trip – and now must help determine the fate of her cybersex-addict husband.

Her long-anticipated arrival — for both Weiner and every politician in Washington — set the stage for the climax to his sexting scandal.

The lewd lawmaker told anguished Democrats that he needs to talk to Huma face-to-face before deciding whether to quit Congress — a move party leaders, including President Obama, suggested he make.

“Huma is just back. She has not had a sit-down with the family yet,” said one Democratic official.

Virtually the entire Democratic Party expects Weiner to quit within days, sources said.

While Abedin was overseas, close-up photos of Weiner’s private parts, which he allegedly sent to a woman online, emerged, along with other racy photos and messages.

Winding up a Middle East/Africa trip as a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Huma drove her Volkswagen Jetta home to the couple’s apartment complex at 4:20 a.m.

Neither spouse surfaced.

Weiner hasn’t been seen since last weekend, when he announced he was taking a leave of absence from Congress to get “professional” help.

The randy representative isn’t getting an ounce of personal support from his mentor, Sen. Charles Schumer, or from the Clintons, a Dem official said. Bill Clinton presided at the couple’s wedding 11 months ago.

The Clintons and Schumer are even refusing to use their considerable clout to keep leading Democrats from calling for Weiner’s resignation.

“Privately, [Schumer] is not stopping anyone from making their announcements,” said the official.

As for the Clintons, they have been telling Democrats to “follow their heart” when deciding how to deal with the scandal, said the official.

House Democratic leaders are ratcheting up the pressure on Weiner by scheduling a meeting today where they’ll discuss kicking the disgraced pol out of their caucus, an aide said.
