Weiner and wife head to the Hamptons

Anthony Weiner stood alone as he closed the book on his scandal stained political career — but he walked off into the sunset with his humiliated wife.

Just three hours after the disgraced Dem was forced to resign from the House, he was cavorting with pregnant wife Huma Abedin in the aisles of the King Kullen supermarket in Manorville, LI, as if the sexting scandal never happened.

Abedin smiled at another customer while Weiner sang quietly along to a ’50s doo-wop song blaring from the store’s speakers.

“He was singing along to one of the love songs. Just under his breath,” a witness said.

Weiner followed Abedin around the store with his baseball cap pulled low, hiding his face.

Despite the turmoil of the last two weeks, Abedin didn’t seem to have a care in the world.

“She was all smiles. She didn’t look upset or anything,” the witness said.

Weiner stopped his warbling when he realized he’d been recognized by a customer.

Instead he put on a scowl.

“He gave me a look as if to say, ‘What do you want from me?’ ” the witness said.

The pair stocked up on chicken, lettuce and other produce, but the formerly press-friendly pol tried to beat a hasty retreat after the customer snapped a picture of him.

The couple tried to get out through a side exit, but they saw the door had an alarm on it.

They then had to turn around and go back through the main entrance. Most of the customers in the popular supermarket hadn’t recognized the now infamous pair, but a cashier said the perv pol looked “creepy.”

The store is on one of the main routes to the Hamptons, where it appears the couple is trying to get away from it all this weekend.

They were seen leaving their Forest Hills Gardens, Queens, apartment shortly after Weiner’s press conference. Weiner was carrying a weekend bag as they left — with no computer case anywhere in sight.
