ATLANTA — Animal lover and comedy actress Betty White paid a special visit to Atlanta’s Georgia Aquarium to visit an old friend, myFOXatlanta.com reported Thursday.
White was reunited Wednesday with Beethoven the beluga whale, who she met last year.
The two shared such a connection that White featured the whale in her new book, expected later this year. She claimed that when she first met the giant mammal, she loved him so much that she gave him his own chapter.
White, who flew back to Atlanta for the reunion, said that she was thrilled to be able to get in the tank with Beethoven.
However, the veteran actress will not be getting up close and personal with one Sgt. Ray Lewis after declining Monday his invitation to a military ball. Marine Lewis asked White to be his date — the latest in a spate of YouTube-based celebrity date requests — but she said she could not attend because she will be filming an episode of “Hot in Cleveland.”
