$ignature ‘pass’ by QB Sanchez

The man with the golden arm has writer’s cramp.

Mark Sanchez still hasn’t signed a memorabilia deal despite the many suitors who have come calling, frustrating fans and causing prices on his rare pieces of autographed merchandise to soar.

His agents “have been holding tight,” said Brandon Steiner of Steiner Sports, a leading sports-memorabilia dealer. “We are patiently waiting.”

“After [players] are drafted, they usually do [an autograph] signing. He’s just not,” said David Wexler of Grandstand Sports & Memorabilia, who noted that Sanchez has a particularly attractive signature.

Only a few collectors have nabbed the sophomore Jet quarterback’s prized John Hancock in the street, and those items are fetching top dollar.

Grandstand carries an autographed Sanchez photo for $260. By comparison, a signed photo of Eli Manning — who won a Super Bowl with the Giants — goes for $200.

A Sanchez Jet jersey rings in at $600 on Grandstand, while a Manning model costs $539.

Sanchez, 24, is slippery, say autograph hounds.

He dodged them on the sidewalk outside the “Good Day New York” Midtown studio in November and on the red carpet during the “Date Night” movie premiere in April.

Last August, he walked right by a pretty mom and a gaggle of kids in jerseys camped outside the Jets’ hotel in New Jersey, collectors said.

“It’s a shame that real fans cannot get his signature,” said one veteran collector, who was ditched by Sanchez three times during the Pro Bowl in Miami last year.

Nick Sanchez, the quarterback’s brother and agent, said Mark just wants to avoid sidewalk sharks trying to cash in on his name.

But Mark always signs for kids, said Nick.

“We want to make sure he’s being fair to the fans,” he said.

They are in discussions with several memorabilia companies, and talks are “getting closer,” he added.

Despite the market Sanchez has created for his signature, the autograph of arch-rival QB Tom Brady still commands double the price.

But those fortunes could shift if Gang Green handles its business against the Patriots today.
