Bus-tracking tech gets rolling in B’klyn

Brooklyn straphangers will now know when their B63 bus will arrive without having to stand on the street.

The MTA today will roll out BusTime, a free online bus-tracking service, on the route, which runs between Fort Hamilton and Cobble Hill. It’s the third route to get the service.

The program, which can be accessed online at bustime.mta.info, allows riders to check their smartphones to find out how long until the next bus arrives and even see its current location.

Two Manhattan routes got the service in October.

Officials say it will eventually be operating for every bus in the system.

As part of the program, each B63 bus was equipped with a computer chip that allows its location to be displayed on handheld devices.
