Lawyer scares JFK

An Upper West Side lawyer’s bonehead decision to trash his computer bag at JFK Airport yesterday led to a terror scare that closed down a terminal for an hour and a half, delayed nine flights and inconvenienced hundreds of travelers, cops said.

The lawyer tossed the empty black laptop bag on the floor in American Airlines Terminal 8 at about 7:30 a.m., and someone soon called it in as a suspicious package.

Then a Port Authority bomb-sniffing dog brought in to examine the bag “sat” on it, indicating it might contain explosives, sources said.

But when the Bomb Squad checked out the bag, it found that it posed no risk.
