‘Sex romp’ teach rap

A Queens high-school teacher was busted yesterday for chauffeuring a 16-year-old student to a Long Island motel for sex, authorities said yesterday.

Tara Driscoll, a 33-year-old teacher at the Law, Government and Community Service HS in Cambria Heights, was charged with third-degree rape and criminal sexual act stemming from the March 19 affair.

“This was a one-time incident in which she picked up the victim in Queens and drove him to the Capri Motel in Lynbrook,” said a Nassau County Police source. “The victim’s mother found out about this and confronted him, and he admitted it.”

Prosecutors said they had video and photographic evidence that implicated the fifth-year teacher. During her arraignment in Nassau County Court, they also brought up Driscoll’s recent stint in rehab for alcohol abuse.

Driscoll was ordered to stay away from her alleged victim.

City Department of Education officials said the untenured teacher, who makes under $57,000 a year, was reassigned out of the classroom in May.
