Good Sam busman gets fired

A Long Island school bus driver was heartlessly fired last week after rescuing three Nassau County cops who were trapped in a severe hail storm.

Top brass at Educational Bus Transport, of Copiague, sacked George Daw after he voluntarily told them about the deed. They argued that he put his lone teenage passenger in danger.

Daw, 58, of West Babylon, was transporting 16-year-old Donte Williams-Henry and a chaperone last Monday when the desperate officers flagged him down.

“They were asking me for help,” Daw said. “Their car was taking on water, and they couldn’t go anywhere.”

Nassau police and the boy’s family blasted the bus company’s decision.
