Disguised crooks hold up Bronx family

A Norwood family was robbed at gunpoint by two crooks disguised as city workers in a cunning home invasion, cops said.

The robbers, each armed with a handgun, knocked on the door of an apartment on East Mosholu Parkway North, near Kossuth Avenue, and announced that they were ACS workers.

The thugs, neatly dressed and carrying briefcase-style bags, forced their way into their apartment and demanded cash around 7:10 p.m. on May 6. The victims, a 44-year-old woman and a 61-year-old man, gave them an undisclosed amount of cash and some jewelry.

One of the tricksters is described as a man in who is about fifty, between five-foot-eight and five-foot nine, with a thin build and salt-and-pepper hair. The other charlatan is believed to be in his forties, between five-foot-seven and five-foot-eight, bald, and with a stocky build.
