DETROIT — Federal authorities are investigating the death of a stunt wing walker who fell 200 feet at an air show in southeastern Michigan.
Selfridge Air National Guard Base, which hosted the show, says it’s working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board to investigate Sunday’s death of Todd Green, who was trying to move from a plane to a helicopter when he fell.
Messages seeking updated information on the investigation were left Monday with the FAA and the NTSB.
The accident happened while Green was flying on a Stearman aircraft during a stunt. He was taken to a hospital and died from his injuries.
The air show at the base in Harrison Township, about 20 miles northeast of Detroit, began Friday and ended Sunday.
