3-year-old B’klyn boy lost for nearly two hours after boarding wrong bus

First-day-of-school jitters are bad enough for a 3-year-old without mom putting you on the wrong school bus and being lost for nearly two hours.

That’s what happened to a Brooklyn boy today, when at about 9 a.m. he boarded the wrong bus at his Brownsville home.

The unidentified child was headed to pre-kindergarten classes at PS 289 in Crown Heights. But because of his mom’s mistake, he ended up at the wrong school.

Police were called to search for him — but everything turned out well.

The boy was put on the wrong bus at 9 a.m.,The bus driver, realizing the boy wasn’t where he was supposed to be, drove him to PS 289.

By 10:30 a.m., he was in the right class.

About an hour later, after his half-day program was over, he was back home.
