Supreme Court Justice Breyer robbed at knifepoint during Caribbean vacation

WASHINGTON — US Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer and his wife Joanna were robbed last week by a machete-wielding intruder who broke into their Caribbean vacation home, FOX News Channel confirmed Monday.

Breyer and his wife were playing bridge with friends at their home on the island of Nevis when the man burst in and robbed them at knifepoint, FOX News confirmed with the judge’s family.

No one was injured, but a Supreme Court source told FOX the crook got away with roughly $1,000 in goods and cash.

The Breyer family told FOX that Joseph Parry, the premier of Nevis, visited them after the attack to make sure they were unharmed and expressed embarrassment that the robbery had occurred.

There have been no reports of arrests.
