Brightcove Inc., a provider of cloud-based video hosting and publishing services which raised $55 million in its IPO, advanced 30 percent in its trading debut to close at $14.30.

Mets still try

The New York Mets owners asked a judge again to dismiss a $386 million lawsuit by Irving Picard the liquidator of Bernard Madoff’s brokerage, saying he distorted the law by alleging they were willfully blind to the fraud.

BofA slap

Bank of America cut CEO Brian Moynihan’s 2011 pay, freezing his salary at $950,000 while giving him no cash bonus. He also gets restricted shares.

Guilty plea

Donald Barnetson, a former employee of memory card maker SanDisk Corp., pleaded guilty yesterday in Manhattan federal court to conspiracy to commit wire and securities fraud.
