Taliban cheers Nobel snub of Malala Yousafzai

The only people cheering Friday’s Nobel Peace Prize snub of Taliban-trashing teen Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai were the ones who want her dead.

“We are delighted that she didn’t get it,” Taliban spokesman Shaidullah Shahid said Friday, after the Nobel committee awarded its 2013 award to a little- known chemical-weapons watchdog group.

“She did nothing big, so it’s good she didn’t get it,” the terrorist mouthpiece told the AFP.

Malala, 16, was widely seen as the front-runner for this year’s Peace Prize.

The Taliban this week vowed, “We will target her again and attack whenever we have a chance.”

The $1.2 million prize instead went to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, a group working to destroy Syria’s chemical weapons.
