Bronx motorcycle gang thug guilty in pee-shooting

A Bronx motorcycle-club boss was convicted of attempted murder on Friday for shooting a man who relieved himself near a buddy’s bike.

Elvio Feola, 63, known as “Spike” in his chapter of Satans Soldiers, faces up to 40 years behind bars after a jury found him guilty of attempted murder, assault and weapons charges, said Bronx prosecutors. A judge set Nov. 15 for sentencing.

Feola shot David Butler, then 25, outside the Fiddler’s Elbow bar in Throggs Neck on Aug. 6, 2011, after the two argued because Butler urinated near a motorcycle belonging to one of Feola’s acquaintances, prosecutors said.

The gun was found later with Feola’s DNA on it, prosecutors said.

Satans Soldiers promoted a benefit fund-raiser for Spike’s defense fund earlier this year, using the club’s Web site to offer a raffle with a choice of one of two top prizes: a 2012 Harley-Davidson cycle or $10,000 in cash.

Jurors agreed that Feola fired a single .32-caliber bullet into Butler’s chest at close range. The gunshot collapsed one of Butler’s lungs, lacerated his liver and broke two of his ribs, prosecutors said.

And the slug remains lodged in Butler’s spine today because surgery to remove it could paralyze him, prosecutors said.
