UWS lawyer’s wife paid $42,388 so husband could meet Knicks’ Lin, take home jersey

This is the game-winning buzzer-beater of gifts for any Knick fan.

The wife of an Upper West Side lawyer paid $42,388 in an intense online auction so that her husband could meet Jeremy Lin — and take home his game-worn jersey.

High-powered lawyer Mitchell Schecter says he feels like a star-struck teen when talking about the Knick sensation.

“I’m overwhelmed beyond words. When [my wife] she told me, I couldn’t breathe,” Schecter said of the CharityBuzz.com prize, that benefits MSG’s Garden of Dreams Foundation.

“I mean, I’m 58 years old, I’ve been around the block. But this is something, he’s put me [in a state], I feel 14. It’s been that special.”

Schecter will have 11th- row seats to tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, a post-game meeting and the jersey Lin wore when he torched the Lakers for 38 points two weeks ago.

His wife, Pamela, said she’s never seen her hubby so taken:

“My husband’s always rooted for the underdog and he’s been mesmerized by Jeremy Lin.”
