Gary Carter’s former teammates have spoken about what the Hall of Fame catcher meant to them since he died of brain cancer at 57 on Thursday and many more will likely be there on Friday, when Carter is remembered at a memorial service in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
A sizeable contingent of Mets players and executives are expected to attend the service.
