Giants deny Buccaneers’ request to interview Gilbride Jr.

The Giants do not usually block an assistant coach if he in line for a promotion elsewhere. It likely means they have plans for Gilbride, the son of the Giants’ offensive coordinator who was an offensive assistant coach this past season.

Quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan left to become the Buccaneers offensive coordinator, and offensive line assistant coach Jack Bicknell, Jr. exited to coach the Chiefs’ offensive line.
