Rikers warden charged with assault and harassment after ‘kinky’ affair

A Rikers Island warden yesterday landed in the clink after his correction-officer mistress accused him of beating her up during their “kinky’’ affair, police sources said.

Married, 55-year-old warden Emmanuel Bailey — forced to retire under pressure last Thursday — regularly met the woman for steamy sex romps in a Brooklyn love nest over the past year, sources said.

Then “the relationship became violent and rather kinky,’’ one source said.

When Bailey’s wife, also a correction officer, found out about her hubby’s dalliances, she started putting the other woman on dangerous assignments, the victim alleges.

Bailey’s lover went to higher-ups about the situation in December, and the Correction Department’s inspector general opened an investigation, sources said.

The woman filed a police report on the alleged abuse last Wednesday, and the warden retired the next day. He turned himself in yesterday, and was charged with assault and harassment.

Bailey’s career included a controversial decision to allow gangsta rapper Papoose to do a show at Rikers in 2006 that set off months of violence at the jail.

Bailey oversaw the transportation division, and was extremely well-liked on the job, sources said.
