Upper East Side madam had underage prostitutes, police protection: prosecutors

An Upper East Side madam is the tip of the iceberg to an ongoing and massive five-year public corruption probe involving alleged police protection, underage prostitution and a roster of wealthy and powerful johns, court documents reveal.

Those are the stunning allegations of prosecutors with the Manhattan DA’s Official Corruption unit, according to newly-revealed transcripts from the arraignment of Anna Gristina, a 44-year-old mother of four accused of running a high-price brothel on East 78th St.

According to the transcript, which details Gristina’s court appearance on Feb. 23, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Marchan ordered the accused madam held on a whopping $2 million bail after prosecutors laid out the significance of the case and the madam’s ties to unnamed rich and influential men “world wide.”
