Cart mom wants to meet hero

He’s her hero — and she wants to let him know it.

The Manhattan mom who was nearly killed by a shoved shopping cart told The Post yesterday that she hopes to meet the brave teen who desperately tried to stop his pals from pulling the fiendish prank.

“Yes, I would be very interested in meeting him,’’ said charity worker Marion Hedges of 14-year-old Achilles Baskin of Harlem.

“But in the future,’’ the still-ailing woman added, indicating she needs to concentrate on her physical recovery at the moment.

Achilles was caught on mall surveillance video — obtained exclusively by The Post — fighting with two pals over a cart on the third floor of a parking garage at an East Harlem shopping center last Oct. 30, trying to stop them from recklessly tossing it over the railing for twisted fun.

He was overpowered, and the punks wound up throwing the cart down onto Hedges, critically injuring her. She remains blind in one eye.
