I’ll take that! Woman wrests knife from ‘mugger’ on LI

This guy picked the wrong place to rob.

A homeless man was arrested outside a Long Island store yesterday after he brandished a knife and tried to rob the cashier — who promptly took the weapon away from him, cops said.

Kristian Falterman, 31, was arrested after brave employee Ana Ramones, 29, disarmed him during a heist at A & E Multi Services in Patchogue at 2:25 p.m..

Police said Ramones initially gave Falterman the money from two cash registers, but then grappled with the alleged robber, took the knife from his hand and threw it outside. The struggle continued there, until a good Samaritan jumped in and held Falterman until cops arrived.

Falterman was the only one that ended up hurt during the confrontation; he was taken Brookhaven Memorial Hospital ine East Patchogue with non-life threatening injuries, and will be charged with first-degree robbery.
