Barroom brawlers beat rap

Cheers!

Three Brooklyn men who were facing at least three and a half years in prison for a bar brawl in which two cops and a city firefighter were injured dished out hugs to jurors who acquitted them of gang-assault charges yesterday.

Relatives of the defendants — including a nephew of state Sen. Martin Golden (R-Brooklyn) — applauded jurors who cleared Dan Golden and John DeCarlo of pummeling a PA cop and Kevin Crowley of stabbing a firefighter during an explosive street fight in Bay Ridge in April 2010.

The melee erupted after a fight inside the Kettle Black spilled onto 86th Street, where PA cop Ryan McCarthy had his jaw shattered.

But defense lawyers blamed two of the victims, off-duty NYPD cop Paul Aparo and firefighter Rosario Cicero — who allegedly had downed multiple shots and maybe 10 pints of beer.
