Showdown over Anna evidence

Anna Gristina’s defense lawyer is bracing for a court showdown today with prosecutors, who want to limit the evidence turned over in the case.

Gary Greenwald, who has been asking for weeks for the tapes, photos, surveillance and other evidence against the alleged Upper East Side madam, said the Manhattan DA agreed Friday to cough up some but not all of it and with “outrageous” conditions.

“We’ve been notified that the DA will seek a protective order asking the court not to give us some of the tapes and, secondly, to direct that some or all of what we are given not be shared with anyone,” Greenwald told The Post.

“We are going to strenuously oppose not being given all the evidence. It’s somewhat ironic that the DA is asking for an unreasonable and exorbitant bail and, at the same time, refusing to give us all the evidence we are entitled to.”

Greenwald plans to file a writ of habeas corpus to be heard by a different judge on Gristina’s bail, which he said is “very likely unconstitutional.”

“I have had homicide defendants with substantially less bail than this,” he noted.
