What a couple of twits!
TV blowhard Alec Baldwin and his yoga-teacher fiancée took to Twitter yesterday to mock the lovesick French Canadian actress who was busted for allegedly stalking him.
“Isn’t it odd when an accused stalker is in handcuffs, being taken away by the cops, yet smiles for the cameras?” Baldwin snarkily tweeted about Genevieve Sabourin’s “perp walk” photo on Page 1 of yesterday’s Post.
Last night, he took another shot: “My friend’s text: The last women to smile with handcuffs on were the manson girls.”
And his gorgeous fiancée, Hilaria Thomas, 28, piled on.
“Life stops when u let crazy people dictate ur activities,” Thomas tweeted in response to someone suggesting that it wasn’t safe to post her teaching schedule online.
And the lovebirds exchanged tweets of mutual devotion, despite Sabourin’s claim that she and Baldwin had a hot-and-heavy affair that continued after he started dating the Mallorca-born beauty last May.
“I am lucky and grateful in my life now, no matter what the motivations of certain others,” the “30 Rock” star tweeted to Thomas.
“It’s a 2way st amor,” she purred back.
Sources said the couple will head to Rome today for the premier of Baldwin’s flick “To Rome with Love.”
Baldwin, 54, also took solace in a tweet from his daughter, Ireland — whom he once infamously called a “thoughtless little pig” in a voicemail.
“Love you dad,” she wrote.
“Now that made my day,” he replied.
Sabourin, 40 — who met Baldwin while working as a publicist on the 2002 bomb “The Adventures of Pluto Nash” — was arrested outside his East 10th Street home Sunday night.
On Monday, she was escorted back there by cops after she was released without bail and given permission to pick up her rented Mercedes.
She also was reunited with her pet Yorkshire terrier — who was with her when she was busted, sources said. Authorities stowed the pooch while she was behind bars.
Canadian Sun Media reported that Sabourin has told friends she’s all right, and sources told The Post she plans to drive back to Montreal.
The struggling actress told cops that she and Baldwin were lovers and that she wanted to have his baby.
He admitted wining and dining her — but only in a “strictly professional’’ manner — and told cops he was merely trying to help her snag some movie gigs in the United States.
Sabourin lost it after news broke April 2 that Baldwin was engaged to Thomas, the sources said.
She bombarded the onetime hunk with e-mails, including one on April 4 in which she wrote, “I need to start my new life, with my new name . . . in my new country help me my newly [sic] husband, you!”
She also allegedly stalked him at his Hamptons home March 31 and during an appearance Thursday at Lincoln Center before her arrest Sunday on charges of harassment and stalking.
